flurries
small little snowflakes were flying about this morning as i walked from the T station to work. seems all so odd especially since we had that nice warm weather yesterday.

in any case, looks like the car's issues are a broken fusible link and the alternator. which makes me sad and angry at the same time, as i had the alternator replaced last year and with the fusible link down i cant even get the car started. so i have to get the car towed... *sighs*

but the light flurries were actually kinda nice...

What circuit is the fusible link protecting?

A fusible link going means something is _drawing_ too much current... Is it a fusible link to the starter solinoid? If so, the starter is your issue, not the alternator. A starter that is shorted/shorting is going to draw a lot of current and run down the battery.

The only time I had to replace a fusible link is when the starter on my brother's car actually caught fire..... but that's a long story.

its possible the fusible link blew when i attempted to jump the car, but yes it is also very likely its the starter. I did experience the issue where the car essentially stalled and shutdown when i stopped at a red light which is what i experienced the first time round when i had to get the alternator replaced. Who knows. at this rate i have to get the car towed and looked at. quite annoying actually.

despite the bitter cold, a walk in a snow flurry is so nice.
